Guus Bartholomé recently started as a PhD candidate at ASCoR. He is working on the project “The Democratic Potential of Conflict News Framing: Production, Content and Effects”. This project will focus on the production, presence and effects of conflict framing in the news. The project combines qualitative and quantitative methods and will include interviews with journalists, a content analysis and an experiment.
Before joining ASCoR, Guus graduated from the Research Master programme of Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam in 2012 (cum laude). After his graduation he worked as a research assistant at NPO before joining ASCoR.
