Jasper van de Pol started in 2012 as a PhD candidate at ASCoR. He is involved in the research project “Voting Advice Applications (VAAs) as political decision aids. Effects on political literacy and political attitudes” which is funded by NWO (Dutch Organisation for Scientific Study) and lead by prof. dr. Claes de Vreese (ASCoR, UvA) and dr. Bregje Holleman (OTS, UU). The aim of the project is to study the effects of VAAs like the Dutch Kieskompas on the understanding of and engagement with politics of their users, and their political attitudes.
Jasper graduated in Sociology and Social Research at Utrecht University (cum laude).
