Talks and travels

Andreas Schuck is currently at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) as visiting scholar and as part of the Erasmus Mundus lecturer exchange. He presented a paper entitled “Making sense of climate change – How news coverage shapes citizens’ attitudes and pro-environmental behaviour” at the Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Communication Association (ANZCA) last week at the University of Sydney and this week he is providing the Inaugural Climate Justice seminar on climate change communication which is part of the newly-formed Climate Justice Research Centre at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney.

Last week, Sanne Kruikemeier visited D66 in the Tweede Kamer to talk about the influence of fake news and about (online) news consumption in general. This week, on Thursday, she will give a short lecture about the use of social media by Dutch judges and lawyers court of Amsterdam. Katjana Gattermann gave an interview to Euronews following Juncker’s accusation that the European Parliament would be ridiculous.
