Lecturer/PostDoc
Elske van den Hoogen (PhD, Erasmus University Rotterdam) is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer (D3) in Political Communication at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). Her research interests include public opinion on the EU, elections, mis- and disinformation, and politics & (generative) AI. She obtained her PhD in cultural sociology from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in march 2024, where she explored Dutch citizens’ understandings of the EU and their impact on information uptake. Besides teaching various courses in the bachelor and master programmes, she is currently affiliated with the RPA Youth & Politics and the RPA Human(e) AI.
