Henrik Pröpper

PhD Candidate

Henrik Pröpper is a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR). As part of the Amsterdam Morality Lab, his work is interdisciplinary, found at the intersection of moral language, political communication, and foreign affairs. His dissertation explores the use and misuse of moral rhetoric, at the United Nations, and in the context of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, using natural language processing methods as well as experiments. Before joining ASCoR, he studied at universities in Leiden (Advanced MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy), Cambridge (Visiting Scholar at the Political Psychology Lab), and Amsterdam (a BSc in Political Science and a BSc in Psychology).
