On November 6, 2025, a special edition of the AISSR Lecture Series took place in collaboration with ASCoR and the CPC. Renée DiResta — an expert on disinformation, spam, scams, and trolls — shared her ideas and research on a ‘new architecture of influence’ in an engaging and thought-provoking lecture.
Renée DiResta touched upon the rewiring of legitimacy, the rewarding of extremism, and viral narratives shaping public discourse. After the lecture, Liza Mügge (AISSR, Political Science) and CPC member Ulrike Klinger (ASCoR) joined Renée DiResta to discuss her ideas and take questions from the audience.
